An intuitive practice

Painting beyond a place or a moment.

“My paintings are deliberately not specific to any place or time. I aim for viewers to develop and build their own personal connections with each piece.”

From Moscow to Cabarete

Albina first became involved with painting in her early youth and graduated from a children's art school in Moscow. In 2011, after moving to the Dominican Republic, she began pursuing painting seriously.

The landscapes, ocean horizons, and tropical light of Cabarete inspired a new phase of intuitive abstract work.

Technique & process

Her style, described as mystical abstraction, combines palette knife and paste brush work with layered underpainting and gradual shifts in color.

The process responds to color relationships, rhythm, and the physical gesture of painting. Music, the ocean, and changing light inform the work.

A personal connection

Albina's paintings have found collectors in the United States, Canada, Europe, Russia, and beyond. Each work invites an individual response rather than a single prescribed interpretation.
