I first became involved with painting during my earliest youth, graduating from Children’s Art School in Moscow, where I honed foundational skills in drawing, composition, and color theory. Over the years, I continued to sketch and experiment with materials, but I began treating painting as a serious pursuit in 2011, shortly after moving to the Dominican Republic. The vibrant landscapes, ocean horizons, and tropical light of Cabarete ignited a new phase in my creativity, shifting my focus toward abstract expression and more intuitive, emotion-driven work.
Since then, I’ve independently mastered a range of techniques, including palette knife texturing, layered underpainting, paste brush applications, and fluid color transitions. I often work in series, building depth through multiple translucent layers and contrasting textures, allowing each piece to evolve organically on the canvas. These methods help me capture the essence of emotions and atmospheres without literal representation, translating inner states, memories, and fleeting impressions into color, movement, and form. My abstract works are atmospheric and captivating, pulsing with dynamic energy that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and discover their own personal interpretations.

My creative process is deeply intuitive: I rarely start with a fixed image in mind, instead responding to color relationships, rhythm, and the physical gesture of painting. I draw inspiration from music, the ocean, changing weather, and the interplay of shadow and light in everyday surroundings. Many of my works explore themes of freedom, transformation, and the subtle tension between chaos and harmony. This approach allows each painting to become a visual diary of a particular emotional moment rather than a depiction of a specific place or object.
Over time, I’ve been truly fortunate to have my paintings collected by remarkable people from all walks of life—professionals, travelers, art enthusiasts, and families—representing diverse countries like the United States, Canada, various parts of Europe, Russia, and beyond. Some collectors discovered my art while visiting the Dominican Republic and chose to bring a piece of that atmosphere back home. Others connected with my work through exhibitions, private showings, or word-of-mouth recommendations. Their support across cultures and backgrounds continues to inspire me, reinforcing my belief that abstract art can speak a universal language that resonates far beyond geographic borders.
